AIIMS MBBS 2018 - The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi, has opened a final AIIMS MBBS 2018 Application Correction Window from April 16 till 5.00 PM on April 18, 2018. As per the exam conducting body, the application form of AIIMS MBBS 2018 has been re-opened one final time for candidates who have failed to address deficiencies in their application form till now.
AIIMS New Delhi will conduct the entrance exam of AIIMS MBBS on May 26 and 27, 2018, in two shifts each. This will be the first time that AIIMS MBBS will held across two days. Also, this year AIIMS MBBS 2018 aspirants could apply for seats at the AIIMS Guntur and AIIMS Nagpur campuses as well.
Aspirants appearing for the AIIMS MBBS 2018 entrance exam will be considered for 807 seats across nine different AIIMS institutions. AIIMS New Delhi will offer 107 seats, while the other AIIMS institutions located in Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur and Rishikesh will each offer 100 seats. The two new AIIMS in Guntur and Nagpur will offer 50 seats each for this year. The entrance exam of AIIMS MBBS 2018 will be held in online mode, as a Computer Based Test (CBT) in two slots – morning and evening – over two consecutive days. On both days, each slot of the exam will take place for a duration of 3 hours and 30 minutes and the AIIMS MBBS 2018 candidates will have to appear as per the slot allotted to them. Along with NEET and JIPMER, AIIMS MBBS is one among India’s three medical entrance exams at the undergraduate level. It is highly competitive, with more than 2 lakh candidates expected to apply. The AIIMS MBBS 2018 result will be declared for these candidates on June 18, around three weeks after the exam is conducted. Counselling for these candidates will be conducted in the months of July, August and September, 2018.
Prior to the reopening of the form between April 16 and April 18, the application form of AIIMS MBBS 2018 was previously open for an extra four days between March 8 and March 12, 2018. What's new in AIIMS MBBS 2018?
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, released the official notification of AIIMS MBBS 2018 on February 1, 2018. Some important new changes have been introduced to the national level medical entrance exam which candidates can check below:
- As per a notification dated March 6, 2018, all AIIMS MBBS applicants who could not complete their application form or did not make the necessary changes before the application last date of March 5, they could do so between March 8 and March 12, 2018. Only those candidates who submitted the fee on time were able to avail this facility to complete the AIIMS MBBS 2018 Application Form.
- For the first time, AIIMS MBBS will be held on two exam dates - Saturday, May 26 and Sunday, May 27, 2018. As per the previous information released by the institute in September 2017, only one exam date had been fixed, that of May 27. However, the notification released on February 1 has revealed that instead of two slots, the exam will now be held in four slots across the two days.
- Till 2017, AIIMS MBBS provided admissions to 707 seats across a total of seven AIIMS institutes. From 2018 onwards, admissions will also be offered to AIIMS Guntur and AIIMS Nagpur, taking the total number of AIIMS institutes to nine. AIIMS Guntur (which will run temporarily at Siddartha Medical College, Vijayawada for this year) is the first AIIMS to be established in Andhra Pradesh. Similarly, AIIMS Nagpur, (which will run temporarily at Government Medical College, Nagpur) is the first to be established in Maharashtra.
- The number of seats offered in AIIMS MBBS has increased with the addition of the two new campuses. Both the AIIMS Guntur and AIIMS Nagpur campuses will offer 50 seats each, taking the total AIIMS MBBS seats to 807 from 707.

AIIMS MBBS Eligibility Criteria 2018

AIIMS MBBS Application Form 2018
The final status of application forms for AIIMS MBBS 2018 has been updated by AIIMS New Delhi on the 'AIIMS MyPage' portal on March 20, 2018 by AIIMS New Delhi. The final status indicates the corrections which candidates can make to their AIIMS MBBS 2018 application form till March 28, 2018. The application form of AIIMS MBBS 2018 was first made available in online mode by AIIMS New Delhi from February 5, 2018 onwards. Candidates could submit the AIIMS MBBS application form by 5.00 PM on the given last date of March 5, 2018. For candidates who registered themselves for AIIMS MBBS 2018 by March 5, 2018, they could make corrections and submit their AIIMS MBBS applications till March 12, 2018 (till 5:00 PM). The AIIMS MBBS application form fee was increased for this year. It was Rs. 1500 for General and OBC candidates and Rs. 1200 for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates. It had to be paid in online mode only through Credit/Debit Card or Netbanking options. Orthopedic Physically Handicapped (OPH) candidates were exempted from payment of AIIMS MBBS 2018 application fees.
AIIMS MBBS Exam Centres 2018
All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi has announced the tentative list of AIIMS MBBS 2018 exam centres in the AIIMS MBBS prospectus released on February 5, 2018. Candidates had to choose exam centre of AIIMS MBBS 2018 in which they would like to appear for AIIMS MBBS examination at the time of filling the AIIMS MBBS Application Form from the total list of approximately 155 cities which have been offered as options. The allotted AIIMS MBBS exam centre will also be displayed on the AIIMS MBBS Admit Card.
AIIMS MBBS Exam Pattern 2018
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi will hold AIIMS MBBS 2018 in online mode as a Computer Based Test (CBT). For the first time, the exam will be held on two days across four different slots. There will be a total of 200 multiple-choice questions asked from the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology (comprising Zoology and Botany) and General Knowledge. AIIMS MBBS Admit Card 2018
The Hall Ticket of AIIMS MBBS 2018 will be issued in online mode by AIIMS New Delhi on May 10, 2018. The Hall Ticket will also be the AIIMS MBBS 2018 Admit Card. Only those candidates who have submitted the application form of AIIMS MBBS before 5.00 PM on March 5, 2018, will be issued the 2018 AIIMS MBBS Admit Card. Also those candidates who completed the payment by March 5, but could not submit the form or had to make corrections and did so between March 8 and March 12 will be allowed to download the AIIMS MBBS Admit Card. All candidates will have to download their admit card by entering their AIIMS application number and password from the official website. Candidates should also carefully check the admit card of AIIMS MBBS 2018 to ensure that all the details such as their name, address, roll number, photograph and signature has been published correctly. It is advisable to retain the AIIMS MBBS admit card till the conclusion of counselling and admission process.
AIIMS MBBS 2018 Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates should be familiar with the exam day guidelines of AIIMS MBBS 2018 to ensure they are able to give their best shot.
- This is the first time that AIIMS MBBS will be held on two separate days, across four different time slots. Candidates will be randomly allotted their slot and hence, it is imperative that they check the AIIMS Admit Card to know the exact date and time of the slot allotted to them.

In terms of timings, it is recommended that candidates reach their AIIMS MBBS 2018 exam centre at least one hour before the designated time mentioned on the AIIMS MBBS Admit Card. This will give them ample time to clear the security checks and complete the biometric verification.

Candidates should not carry with them any study materials, either textual or digital, as it will not be allowed inside the AIIMS exam centre and they may be debarred from appearing. Even stationery materials for rough work will be provided by AIIMS officials at the exam centre.

The only documents AIIMS candidates are required to carry with them on the AIIMS MBBS 2018 exam day will be the admit card of AIIMS MBBS along with a valid identity proof.
AIIMS MBBS Answer Key 2018
Given that the AIIMS MBBS 2018 entrance exam will be held in online mode as a Computer Based Test (CBT), there will be no answer key of AIIMS MBBS that will be released by the institute or coaching centres. Usually, only the answer keys of those exams is released whose question paper is in the possession of candidates after the exam. This is not possible in the case of online exams. Candidates looking for the AIIMS MBBS 2018 Answer Key should note that the ones available online may not have any credibility and should be cautious while following it.
AIIMS MBBS Result 2018
AIIMS New Delhi will make available the result of AIIMS MBBS 2018 on June 18, 2018. Only those candidates who successfully secure the AIIMS Qualifying percentile will be able to check the AIIMS MBBS 2018 result, which will be declared roll number-wise as well as rank-wise. The AIIMS MBBS Result will also indicate candidate’s name, roll number, father’s name and category.
AIIMS MBBS Cut Off 2018
The Cut Off of AIIMS MBBS 2018 will be used to determine the candidates who qualify for AIIMS MBBS 2018 Result. As per AIIMS New Delhi, the AIIMS 2018 Cut Off marks for General Candidates is expected to be 50%, for SC/ST candidates it will be 40% while for OBC candidates, it is expected to be 45%. Until now, a normalization procedure was used to determine a common qualifying cut off percentile across the two shifts in which AIIMS MBBS was held. However, from this year onwards, the exam will be held in four shifts so it is expected that the normalization procedure will be used to determine the qualifying cut off percentile across four shifts instead of two. If the percentiles obtained from all four shifts are dissimilar or different, the lower of the four percentiles is expected to be the eligibility cut off in a particular category for all candidates across both shifts.

AIIMS MBBS Merit List 2018
The merit list of AIIMS MBBS 2018 will be released by AIIMS New Delhi and contain the list of candidates who have qualified the exam in order of their final scores. The AIIMS Merit List will only be prepared for the qualified candidates who clear the AIIMS Cut Off and only those candidates who obtain a rank in the AIIMS MBBS 2018 Merit List will be invited for the counselling process.
AIIMS MBBS Seats and Reservation 2018
A total of 807 seats have been offered for admissions across the nine AIIMS institutions through AIIMS MBBS 2018. The official seat matrix and reservation information has been released through the AIIMS MBBS 2018 prospectus on February 5, 2018. There has been an increase in the total number of seats available per category as can be seen in the table below. Until 2017, general candidates were eligible for 350 seats, OBC candidates were eligible for 189 seats, SC candidates were eligible for 105 seats and ST candidates were eligible for 56 seats. AIIMS New Delhi also offers 7 seats for foreign students. Across all the categories, 5% seats (increased from 3%) will be reserved for Orthopedic Physically Handicapped (OPH) candidates in each of the nine AIIMS as per provision of Right of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

The counselling of AIIMS MBBS 2018 will be held at AIIMS, New Delhi for allocation of MBBS seats across all nine AIIMS. The AIIMS MBBS counselling 2018 will be conducted in online mode for the first time ever. The schedule of online counselling of AIIMS MBBS 2018 will be released soon and candidates will be called as per the allotted date and time according to their rank. The total number of candidate to be called for counselling will be 4 times the seats available in each category.
